Title IA: A Schoolwide program is a comprehensive reform strategy to upgrade the entire educational program.

Title IA (1003) School Improvement Grant – Mission only

Title IIA: To increase academic achievement of all students by helping schools and districts improve teacher and principal quality and ensure that all teachers are highly qualified.

Title IVB 21st CCLC Afterschool Grant – Grant is for East and Mission only

Title VIB: This program is designed to assist rural districts in using federal resources more effectively to improve the quality of instruction and student academic achievement.

Title VII Indian Education: Indian Education supports the efforts to meet the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of American Indian and Alaska Native students to assist them in meeting the same challenging state student academic achievement standards as other students.

JOM (Johnson O’Malley): This local program is operated under an educational plan, approved by the BIE, which contains educational objectives to address the needs of the eligible American Indian and Alaska Native students and may include such programs as culture, language, academics, and dropout prevention.

Title VIII Impact Aid: Designed to assist local school districts that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt Federal property, or that have experienced increased expenditures due to the enrollment of federally connected children, including children living on Indian lands. The Impact Aid law (now Title VIII of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) provides assistance to local school districts with concentrations of children residing on Indian lands, military bases, low-rent housing properties, or other Federal properties and, to a lesser extent, concentrations of children who have parents in the uniformed services or employed on eligible Federal properties who do not live on Federal property.School districts use Impact Aid for a wide variety of general fund operating expenses, such as the salaries of teachers and teacher assistants; purchasing textbooks, computers, uniforms, buses, and other equipment; after-school programs and remedial tutoring; advanced placement classes; and special enrichment programs. Any LEA that claims children residing on Indian lands for the purpose of receiving funds under section 8003 must establish Indian policies and procedures (IPPs) to ensure that the LEA meets the requirements.

NOTICE:  A public meeting to review the Indian Policies and Procedures (IPP) for Anadarko Public Schools will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016, during the Regular meeting of the Anadarko Board of Education.  The meeting will be held in the Board Room of the Administration Building, located at 1400 South Mission.  Parents of children living or working on Indian land and/or tribal officials may discuss the current status of school programs and desired direction for future development for Board consideration.  The current Title VIII Impact Aid application is available on request for review at the Administration Building.  For further information, you may contact the Superintendent's office at 405-247-6605.  You can find a copy of the Anadarko Public Schools Indian Policies and Procedures under the Parent Resources tab, located in the Documents link.
